The Administrative Services Division supports the overall operation of the six divisions of the Sheriff's Office. Administrative Services encompasses finance, records, policy and procedure as well as warrant and training functions for the Sheriff's Office.
Open Records Request
Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Law, (OCGA 50-18-70 et. Seq.), the Walton County Sheriff's Office will make available for review and copying all files, records and other documents not prohibited by specific statutory exemption. All request will be responded to within three business days.

Research and compilation of materials are billed at $10 per hour after the first 15 minutes.

Please remember to include specific details regarding your request. Names, dates, times and case numbers will help us complete your request in a timely manner.
Payment Options Notice
Due to some issues we have had with certain business / personal checks, we will no longer be accepting business/personal checks for service fees. We will only be accepting payment in the form of certified checks, money order, or cash. This policy will be effective April 15, 2017. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Record Restriction (Expungement)
O.C.G.A. 35-3-37 provides for the restriction of certain criminal history records for non-criminal justice purposes when approved by the prosecuting attorney.
The Sheriff's Office requires a $25 non-refundable fee to process record restriction requests. In addition, the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) requires an additional $25 non-refundable fee.
