TAX ASSESSORS INFORMATION DURING COVID-19 SHUTDOWN: 

Attention Walton County Property Owners:

With the Government building being closed, we still want to provide options for property owners to file for their Homestead Exemption or Conservation Use prior to the April 1, 2020 deadline. During this period from now thru April 1st, we will accept these filings by phone or mail.

**Please note: If you already have homestead exemption, you do not need to re-apply every year. This exemption will remain in place until such time you sell or transfer ownership on the parcel.

Business Personal Property & Freeport Exemption Reporting for eligible Walton County Business Owners:

If you’re a business owner that received a Personal Property and/or Freeport Exemption reporting form(s) regarding assets or inventory, the date to submit such completed form(s) remains April 1, 2020. Please make sure such completed form(s) and accompanying information is post marked by the April 1st deadline.
