Meet Tyler Pannell, Stormwater Coordinator for Walton County Public Works.
Tyler has worked in the Public Works Department for 14 years. He has served as Stormwater Coordinator for the past 8 years, and has also worked as a Stormwater Technician, in the Public Works repair shop, and on the Grass Crew.
Tyler is a Walton County native and a graduate of Georgia Perimeter College. His family includes his wife Jessica, eight-year-old son Landen, and three-year-old daughter Kate. When he is not working, Tyler enjoys fishing, camping, and traveling with his family.
Tyler’s favorite part of his job is finding and implementing creative solutions to citizens’ drainage issues. He also enjoys working with his colleagues. “We have really great employees in the Public Works Department, and everyone works together well to accomplish what we need to do,” says Tyler.
Public Works Assistant Director John Allman says, “Tyler is one of the biggest assets that the Walton County Public Works Department has.” Tyler is also active with the Georgia Chapter of the American Public Works Association. He has served as the Association’s District 10 Director for three years and is currently the Chairman of the Young Professionals Committee for the Georgia Chapter.
