Meet Sam Ballouk, a Paramedic with Walton County EMS. Sam has been with Walton County EMS since April 4, 2014, and also works as a Paramedic for Gwinnett County.

Sam attended Paramedic School at Gwinnett County, and EMT School at Gwinnett Tech. His is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT.

Sam lives in Gwinnett County with his wife, and has two daughters, ages 26 and 22. Sam has been a very involved father, and enjoys helping others. When he is not on duty, Sam enjoys working in his yard, and also helps out his elderly neighbors. 

Sam says that the satisfaction he feels from helping people is his favorite part of his job.

“Sam is truly dedicated to the profession of EMS,” says Walton County EMS Director Ronnie Almand. “It is not just a job to him. Sam is rarely ever away from work. He takes good care of the ambulance and equipment. He always strives to do what is best for his patients. Sam holds several instructor certifications and helps teach classes in our department. Sam precepts and works with new paramedic students during their clinical on the ambulance. Sam fills in as EMS supervisor when the shift supervisor is off. Sam always exhibits a calm and caring demeanor. He is always willing to go the extra mile when needed. We are fortunate to have Sam as part of our team here at Walton County.”
